Time Perceptor
The Time Perceptor helps me to experience the time until my move with attention. When I get frustrated or get upset the leaves will open and remind me the move is getting closer every day.
My design works with foil that reacts to heat/warmth, in reaction it curls. So if you hold your hand above it the leaves will open and reveal the number of days until my move.
The period before the move is full of frustration and anger. When you get upset your body temperature rises, so when you wear this on your skin the leaves will open when this happens. This will remind you of the days you have to hold on until you’re all moved in. After you’re figuratively and literally cooled down the leaves will close again.
The design with the leaves that open and close has similarities with a lotus flower. In my case the blosseming of the flower represents the new beginning.
